What Rifles:
All buffalo hunting era black powder rifles or replicas are permitted. These can be Sharps, rolling blocks, hi walls, and lever actions, etc. Typical calibers are .375 and up using cast lead bullets and black powder. There will be no smokeless or black powder substitutes allowed.

Purpose:
The purpose of this discipline is to have fun shooting at gong type targets and a full size steel buffalo and friendly matches. Ranges will vary from 300 to 1,000 yds. At this time we are not anticipating having NRA sanctioned shoots.

When:
The black powder cartridge group will have the range on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, from 12:00 until legal sunset. This will allow us to shoot from 300 to 1,000 yds.

All members having an interest in this discipline are encouraged to contact Dave Kendall via email.
